Privacy Policy
The protection of our member's policy and the safekeeping of confidential information is of utmost concern to the Credit Union. It is Cascade Federal Credit Union's intent to comply with all applicable laws and regulations concerning the treatment of both member and non-member information, and educate our members of their privacy rights under law. This policy outlines the purpose for which member information is collected and released outside the Credit Union.
Information Collected
Cascade Federal Credit Union collects information necessary to establish an ongoing relationship with members and joint account holders. Information on an individual member is collected from a variety of sources, including the member's signature card, loan application, account transactions, credit bureaus, and when you visit this website. Furthermore, the Credit Union takes reasonable precautions to protect the accuracy and reliability of member information.
Information Shared with Affiliates and Third Parties
Cascade Federal Credit Union does not sell nonpublic personal information on its members to any third party. We will only disclose certain personal account or transaction information about an individual member or members with their written or oral consent, in order to effect a transaction, to protect the Credit Union's interest, or for other purposes permitted by law and regulation. Information we may have about former members is generally only shared and disclosed if necessary to enforce or administer an account or as required by law.
Third Party Privacy Standards
Cascade Federal Credit Union only discloses nonpublic personal information about its members to its affiliate and third party service providers (such as data processing, check, ATM and payment processing companies, insurance companies, collection agencies, and credit reporting agencies) who demonstrate a consistent commitment to the protection of the confidentiality of member information, and who have adopted privacy policies comparable to those adopted by the Credit Union.
Security and Confidentiality
As part of Cascade Federal Credit Union's commitment to protect the confidentiality of member account information, the Credit Union trains staff on the importance of member privacy and the Credit Union's privacy policy. Staff members are only permitted to access member account information when necessary for business reasons. Finally, Cascade Federal Credit Union has established appropriate security standards to protect against unauthorized access to member information.
