ELECTION NOTICE AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS NOMINATIONS

As a Cascade Federal Credit Union member-owner, your vote counts in determining who makes up our Board of Directors. This year, the Nominating Committee has nominated the following candidates to fill five expiring terms:
Dona McDougal: Dona has been a member of Cascade FCU since 1994 and incumbent member of Cascade FCU’s board since 1999. Dona is Cascade FCU’s board secretary-treasurer. Dona’s work career spanned various railroad mergers between 1964 and 2000, including SP&S Railway, BNRR, and BNSF. Dona is retired and finds serving her fellow Cascade FCU members to be personally rewarding.
Paige Booth: Paige has been a member of Cascade FCU since 1974 and incumbent member of Cascade FCU’s board since 2011. Paige was hired by Burlington Northern in 1974 at the Balmer Yard Caboose Track in Seattle and received an electrical apprenticeship that same year. Paige retired from BNSF in 2014 after 40 years and enjoys traveling and spending more time with his family.
Roger Schweinler: Through our merger with Tacoma Narrows FCU, Roger has been a member since 2017 thanks to his parents' membership, and he joined the TNFCU board that same year. In 2019, Roger was elected the President/Chairman of the board. Roger has practiced law in Pierce County for
30 years. He is also an active member of his church and a member of the Allenmore Men's Club. In his spare time, Roger enjoys spending time with his wife and three children as well as sports, exercising, cooking, and working on his yard.
Stan Hearn: Through our merger with TNFCU, Stan has been a member since 2002. He became a board member that year when HECO Federal Credit Union merged with TNFCU. Stan worked for HECO FCU's employer group, Hooker Chemical Employees, later Pioneer Chemical Co., for 30 years. Retiring from Pioneer in 2002, Stan focused on ministry work until 2012. In his spare time, Stan enjoys volunteering, watching sports, and reading nonfiction books.

YOUR QUARTERLY FRAUD FOCUS

The Federal Trade Commission has issued a warning for fake phone agent scams. With this scam, the victim receives a phone call saying that their name has been linked to a serious crime, and if the victim thinks it’s a mistake, their agent can help them clear their name. However, it’s all a ruse.

Stay on the lookout for these red flags to avoid becoming a victim.

1. SCARE TACTICS. Scammers want you to panic so you act without thinking. They may say you've been linked to crimes like money laundering or drug trafficking. Remember, if that were true, you'd be informed in person.

2. ISOLATION. If they tell you to not talk to your friends and family and to stay off the internet, this is a way to keep you from verifying the truth. Scammers want to keep victims scared and confused.

3. PAYMENT DEMANDS. Scammers may say it's a fee to clear your name or that they'll protect the funds you send them. Whatever you do, DO NOT send money. Once it's gone, you will have little to no recourse.

If you encounter a scam, remember to report it, even if you haven't lost money, to the FTC at ReportFraud@FTC.gov. For extra protection, we offer identity recovery services for as low as $2 per month.

Insured by NCUA. Equal housing opportunity. APY = annual percentage yield. APR = annual percentage rate. Rates are subject to change. All loans, rates, and terms are subject to credit approval, may change at any time, and must meet Cascade Federal Credit Union lending policies.
1Fees may reduce earnings. Only one Summit Checking is permitted per Social Security number. A $50 deposit is required to open, but no minimum monthly balance is required. The Summit Checking will earn a 5.00% APY on balances up to $5,000 if qualifications are met, which are: a minimum of 12 debit card transactions of at least $5 each that must post by month-end, active eStatement enrollment, and one direct deposit of at least $500 each month. If qualifications are not met, account will earn 0.00% APY. Balances over $5,000 will also earn 0.00% APY. Monthly statements show the Annual Percentage Yield Earned (APYE), which may differ from the account's stated APY. Because dividends are only earned on the first $5,000 of qualifying balances, the APYE reflects a blended rate of 5.00% APY and 0.00% APY. Factors like account open days, deposits, and withdrawals impact the APYE. As your balance exceeds $5,000, the APYE decreases due to the blended rate.
2Sponsored by Cascade Federal Credit Union, 18020 80th Ave S, Kent, WA 98032. Value of quarterly prize is $500. Odds of
winning depend on number of entries received. Details and qualifications for participation in this promotion may apply. For details, please see CascadeFCU.org/SweepstakesRules.
